Ladies Night at Sea

A group of five women on a boat

Our 14th annual Ladies Night Out was one for the books! Our traditional Cal State Fullerton Concert Under the Stars unfortunately did not return post pandemic. However, the KFM team still wanted to host an event that celebrated our wonderful clients.  Still sticking with the theme of “Ladies’ Night” and gathering in the evening, we landed on the idea of a sunset cruise. We spent a lovely evening on the water in the Dana Point Harbor tasting delicious wines and enjoying each other’s company. Once aboard the Ocean Adventures, a 63-foot catamaran, we cruised around the harbor while snacking on small bites from local restaurant Wind and Sea, tasted the variety of wines, and chatted with friends, old and new.

Four small boats racing each other

The KFM team always loves getting the chance to spend quality time with our clients-turned-friends. We got the opportunity to chat with everyone once abroad the Sunset Cruise. A pleasant surprise was watching the small boat regatta race that was happening just around our boat! One client in particular knows regatta racing quite well from her father. She was able to explain what each boat was doing and the lines they were taking to not interfere. What was most interesting about that conversation was the discussion revolving around her dad. Rob shared he attended the memorial service many years ago at the yacht club in which her father raced. He didn't understand some of the humor that was discussed during the memorial service until it was explained to him in watching the regatta race that evening aboard the Sunset Cruise. It’s the little moments like this that remind us how special it is to have long-term relationships with our clients and their families. Reliving memories together is something we are so grateful to be able to do.

Another special part of Ladies Night Out is the guests brought by our clients, who only add to the fun! We have exceptional clients, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that they have great friends. We also had some babies on board this year who were a great source of entertainment. Another special guest was Wyatt’s mom, who Rob got to meet after working with him for 11 years! It was truly a special night with wonderful people, and we are grateful we have clients who allow us their time and the opportunity to have a little fun alongside them. We’re already looking forward to next year!
