Client Corner
Kemp Financial Management’s Client Corner lets members of the Kempville family tell stories about what matters most in their lives. The ability to share these stories is truly special. Enjoy!

“Sunshine is My Quest”
Some people worry about what they are going to do in their retirement years. Most of our clients do not. Our good friend and client, Ed Shuler, a retired Project Manager, had no trouble with the transition taking his interest in photography to new heights. Ed’s wife Donna, a retired Educator, has also been the benefactor of some pretty cool photography trips. We hope you enjoy reading about Ed’s journey as he explores the subtle nuances of photography.
We’re All Phillies Phanatics Here!
Normally we celebrate our clients, but many of you have asked about Rob and Diane's youngest son, Otto. They have watched him play his way from Tee-ball, all the way to the MLB Minor League team of the Philadelphia Phillies! It's been quite the journey for Otto, from Fullerton, to Point Loma, and now to Clearwater, Florida.
Thankful for Family Traditions
Jan Kabat has been a friend and client of KFM for nearly 10 years. She enjoys spending time with her granddaughter and taking care of her beautiful home garden (We even featured Jan and her garden in a Client Corner a few years ago!) We recently learned that Jan's family has a yearly family reunion at Thanksgiving and we wanted to hear all about their tradition!
Let’s Go Hunting
Kemp Financial Management strongly believes in pursuing what matters most and a big part of that is time spent with family and friends. This month’s Client Corner exemplifies just that! KFM clients and friends, Scott Vandeventer and Andy Nickerson recently went on a waterfowl hunting trip. Scott brought his son-in-law, Adam, and Andy brought his son, Kyle. Andy and Kyle even took some time before the hunt to make a father-son trip out of it!
Off to the Ballet!
Art and Terry are KFM clients, friends and longtime retirees with 4 children, 10 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. We have enjoyed watching them spend their retirement years pursuing what matters most, family and friends. A recent trip to visit family and support their granddaughter's performance in Houston is a great example of this.
Light the Night
Jim and Jonze Roberts have been KFM Clients for 8 years. Jim has been tinkering with and putting up Christmas lights since he was a child. Every year he creates a beautiful display of Christmas lights in his front yard. When we saw pictures and video of the lights, we knew we had to share it!
Ladies Night at Sea
In this month's Client Corner we wanted to do something out of the ordinary. Instead of highlighting one client or family, we wanted to share about a recent event where we got to spend an evening with a boatload of clients and friends! In September we held our 14th annual KFM Ladies Night Out. This was the first time we held the event on a sunset cruise around Dana Point Harbor, it was a very special evening.
Answering the Call, Logan's Journey Begins
Dave and Margaret Bell, KFM Clients of over 18 years, recently experienced a big milestone as parents. Their youngest child, Logan, graduated from high school. Logan made the decision to join the military after high school, and he was one of a select group of new service members to be recognized during the largest Memorial Day celebration in the country.
